The Washington Spirit will have to dig into their goalkeeping reserves this season–for the best possible reason. Aubrey Kingsbury, the club’s starter since 2018, is expecting her first child. The two-time NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year announced the news in an Instagram post with her husband Matt as they walked on the Audi Field pitch. The other keepers in Spirit camp are Sandy MacIver, Kaylie Collins, and Sara Wojdelko.
