U.S. women’s national team midfielder Ashley Sanchez has signed a new three-year contract, the Washington Spirit announced Thursday. The new contract will take effect following the expiration of her current contract this offseason to see her stay with the club through the 2026 season. “Keeping Sanchez with the Spirit is critical for this club,” said Head Coach Mark Parsons. “Her world-class technical ability and goal-scoring quality are very important to the success of our team.”
