Spain and Barcelona midfielder Alexia Putella was named women’s player of the year at the 2022 Best FIFA Awards. Putellas scored 34 times last season and won her second consecutive award despite missing Euro 2022. England manager Sarina Wiegman was named women’s coach of the year and England’s Mary Earps won the women’s goalkeeper award.
