Spain midfielder Aitana Bonmati won the 2023 World Cup Golden Ball on Sunday after her team’s 1-0 triumph over England to clinch a first world title. Bonmati was also named UEFA Champions League player of the season in 2022-23 for Barcelona. Spain teammate Salma Paralluelo, 19, won the award for the tournament’s best young player, while England goalkeeper Mary Earps earned the Golden Glove. Japan’s Hinata Miyazawa won the Golden Boot with five goals.
