USWNT camps moved to Florida due to LA fires

U.S. Soccer has decided to move the January training camp for the senior U.S. women's national team and the Futures Camp to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. The camps will be held concurrently but start three days later than previously planned, running from Jan. 17-23 at Inter Miami CF's Florida Blue Training Center.

Hannah Bebar replaces Lynn Williams on USWNT senior camp roster

Midfielder Hannah Bebar has replaced forward Lynn Williams on the U.S. senior team’s January camp roster. Williams is dealing with hamstring soreness, per U.S. Soccer. Bebar graduated from Harvard and played for Duke as a graduate student in 2024. She has been a regular at almost every level of youth national teams. The addition of Bebar makes seven first-time senior call-ups on the roster. Ally Sentnor will now train as a forward.

Rose Lavelle had ankle surgery, will miss USWNT camp

Midfielder Rose Lavelle underwent ankle surgery, U.S. Soccer confirmed on Tuesday. Lavelle, who plays for NJ/NY Gotham FC, will miss the U.S.' January camp to recover from surgery. She last played in Gotham’s NWSL semifinal defeat on Nov. 16. "It's just something that needs cleaning up and it was the right time to do it," U.S. coach Emma Hayes said. "So, decisions were taken with a number of different people to do it now."

Denver to pay $110 million for NWSL expansion fee: source

The group from Denver that the NWSL had already chosen to move forward with to become the league’s 16th team agreed to pay $110 million as an expansion fee, a source confirmed. The Equalizer previously reported that Denver was the choice to be the NWSL’s 16th team, to begin play alongside Boston in 2026, and that the fee would be for over $100 million according to multiple sources. The NWSL is yet to formally comment.
