For Guro Reiten, Gotham is a new challenge, and she’s ready for it

Reiten: ‘I’ve heard a lot about the league and how tough it is and how every game is — everyone can beat everyone — so that’s gonna be very cool to experience’

The last few days have been a whirlwind for Guro Reiten. Gotham’s newest signing appeared in both of Norway’s World Cup qualification matches against Slovenia on April 14 and 18, and then moved with her family across an ocean. “I’m just super excited, finally getting over here,” the 31-year-old told reporters on Wednesday. “It was a long flight with a baby — extra tough.”

The move is the latest step in what has been a long, thorough recruitment process by Gotham, led by General Manager and Head of Soccer Operations Yael Averbuch West. In Reiten, Gotham found exactly what they were searching for.
