The 2026 NWSL schedule is out and it includes an all-time high 240 matches. Throw in the seven playoff matches and Challenge Cup, and that makes 248 total matches that were announced Thursday. The fun starts Friday, March 13 in Washington where the two-times running Shield and league runner-up Washington Spirit host the Portland Thorns. The NWSL Championship will be decided Nov. 21 at a venue to be determined. Here are a few thoughts on the 2026 schedule.
