Home teams continue to have difficult times getting regular results, and don’t be late to the television for any Kansas City Current match. Here’s how the National Women’s Soccer League teams stack up after Week 12.

Cream of the Crop

Kansas City Current (10-2-0, 30 pts; vs Louisville, 4-2): Things for a little tense when a 3-0 lead turned into a 3-2 lead. But them Temwa Chawinga extended her latest goal-scoring streak to five and the Current were home free. One of the goals they conceded was from a set piece. Defending those is becoming a real issue in Kansas City and when the playoffs role around and games tighten up, that can become fatal. Speaking of the playoffs, the Current are on 30 points. Last year’s 8th seed finished with 32.

Forming a solid next pack?

Orlando Pride (7-3-1, 22 pts; @ Bay, 1-0): Lots of ways the Pride could have lost at Bay on Friday night, but they got a deflected goal by Barbra Banda and somehow kept the ball out of the back on their own net and earned the win. Wondering if they were taking in all the sites and sounds in hopes of returning to San Jose and PayPal Park for the NWSL Championship in November.
