There’s not a Most Improved Player award in the National Women’s Soccer League, but if there was, Jenna Bike would be a prime candidate this year.
Consistent playing time, a renewed mindset, and an integral role at the Red Stars has allowed the 26-year-old forward to shine for the Chicago side – helping to lift the team out from the bottom of the table to a playoff contender. The Connecticut native has become essential to Chicago’s continued success and has signed a two-year extension with the club, keeping her with the Red Stars through 2026.
“It felt very special and it wasn’t something that I was expecting because I had an option [in my contract], but Chicago is a place that I want to be long term and I was over the moon when they offered the extension,” Bike told The Equalizer. “It validated that feeling. It’s so nice to feel wanted but I also feel like all of my hard work was recognized and appreciated. I’m really grateful.”
