Checking in on NWSL Draft picks still playing college soccer

With several National Women’s Soccer League Draft picks and undrafted players whose rights have been claimed still playing spring soccer in the NCAA, here is a look at how they have fared during them month of April. Only those who have played are listed.

Racing Louisville FC

Jayda Talley (Arizona)

-April 2: assisted on both goals in 2-1 win over Stanford
-April 4: scored the only goal in 1-0 victory against Cal
-April 9: played 99 minutes of a match v Colorado State that could not find a goal
-April 11: went the distance in 2-1 loss to Utah
-April 16: scored on a chip and delivered a beautiful assist to help beat Arizona State 2-0

Emily Smith (Cal)

-April 2: saw 103 minutes of action but Cal fell 2-1 to Arizona State
-April 4: went the distance in 1-0 loss to Arizona
-April 9: went the full 90 in 3-1 loss to UCLA
-April 11: was on for 87 minutes in rough, 5-0 thrashing to USC
-April 16: saw 93 minutes in 1-0 loss to Stanford

Sarah Sodoma (Arkansas State)

Jill Aguilera (Arizona)

-April 2: scored both goals to help the Wildcats get by Stanford 2-1
-April 4: had the assist in 1-0 win over Cal
-April 9: went 84 minutes in 0-0 draw to Colorado State
-April 11: hit the back of the net but to no avail result wise in 2-1 loss to Utah
-April 16: scored insurance goal in 2-0 triumph over Arizona State

Channing Foster (Ole Miss)

-April 2: had the 58th-minute assist in winning 1-0 decision over Arkansas State
-April 10: played all 90 minutes in 3-0 win over South Alabama
-April 15: played 104 minutes of scoreless draw vs Bowling Green as Ole Miss advanced on penalties

-March 31: delivered perfect through ball to assist on opener but it was not enough as BYU rallied, 2-1

Madison Haley (Stanford)

Kerry Abello (Penn State)

-April 3: unavailable vs Maryland
-April 11: returned from month away and helped defeat Indiana 3-1 with 50 minutes of action
-April 15: went 55 minutes but the Big Ten Tournament ended 1-0 at the hands of Iowa
-April 28: played entire 5-0 win over Alabama State to open NCAA tourney

-April 2:  recorded clean sheet, 5-0 over Washington
-April 4:  recorded clean sheet, 1-0 over Washington State
-April 9:  recorded 110-minute clean sheet against Stanford but settled for a draw
-April 11:  recorded stress-free clean sheet, 5-0 over Cal
-April 16:  shutout streak ended in 2-2 draw with UCLA

-April 2:  went the distance in 1-0 win over NC State
-April 11:  played 100 minutes as part of 0-0 draw with Vanderbilt

Delanie Sheehan (UCLA)

-April 4:  was on for 83 minutes of tight, 1-0 win over Washington
-April 9:  went 69 minutes in win over Cal
-April 11:  assisted on regulation goal and poked home rebound to win it 2-1 over Stanford in OT
-April 16:  scored during a 106-minute run against USC that ended 2-2

Brianan Pinto (North Carolina)

-April 1:  scored just after the break to lead Tar Heels over Villanova, 1-0
-April 13:  two goals and two assists in just 62 minutes of 6-0 win against overmatched Columbus State

-April 3:  played full 90 in 1-0 loss to West Virginia
-April 10:  played the full 110 against West Virginia (d. 2-2)
-April 28:  played full 90 and had assist in 3-1 win over SIU Edwardsville

Samantha Coffey (Penn State)

-April 3:  played about an hour and contributed an assist in 6-0 hammering of Maryland
-April 11:  played all 90 minutes in 3-1 win over Indians
-April 15:  played all 90 minutes in 1-0 loss to Iowa that ended Big Ten Tournament at semifinal stage
-April 28:  chipped in an assist across 55 minutes of 5-0 win against South Alabama

-April 3: saw 102 minutes of action in 1-1 draw with Michigan
-April 8: headed in ninth career golden goal to see off Michigan State 1-0 in Big Ten tournament
-April 11: went all the way in 1-0 win over Ohio State to move on in the tournament
-April 15: assisted on early goal but Wisconsin rallied for a 2-1 win to end the Big Ten season for Ali
-April 27:  played only 29 minutes but scored in the 87th minute to send Rutgers through, 1-0 over SE Louisiana
