Sources: Utah Royals will relocate to Kansas City

Utah Royals FC players were informed on Saturday that the franchise will relocate to Kansas City ahead of the 2021 National Women’s Soccer League season, multiple sources tell The Equalizer. The sale of the Royals to a Kansas City-based group, however, is still not finalized, although it is expected to be in the coming days. The NWSL is facilitating the complicated transaction between Royals owner Dell Loy Hansen and the new ownership group in Kansas City.
