Lindsey Horan tested positive for COVID-19 and will not travel to the Netherlands for the United States women’s national team’s international friendly against the Dutch on Nov. 27, U.S. Soccer announced on Wednesday. Florida State University midfielder Jaelin Howell will replace Horan on the U.S.’ roster.

Horan tested positive during U.S. Soccer’s pre-trip testing procedures. U.S. Soccer says that no other players have tested positive at this time. Horan said in a tweet that she is doing well and following quarantine protocols.

The U.S. conducted a training camp in Colorado last month with zero confirmed positive cases after 685 total tests.

Head coach Vlatko Andonovski will have 23 players in camp for the match against the Netherlands, which will be the final of the year and first in over eight months for the United States women.

Planning for the unknown: Kate Markgraf on USWNT’s October camp and 2021 games
