Lynn Williams scored twice on Wednesday as the North Carolina Courage defeated the Washington Spirit, 2-0 in the 2020 National Women’s Soccer League Challenge Cup.
Williams opened the scoring in the 50th minute by evading a tackle from Sam Staab just over the midfield line, dribbling and cutting inside. Nobody closed her down, so Williams slotted the ball inside the near post.
