Continuing our new run of women’s soccer quizzes to help you pass the time, while so many of you are stuck at home, is this one looking back at the very first days of the National Women’s Soccer League.
In January 2013, 55 players were allocated to the league (their federations paid their NWSL salaries): 23 from the United States, 16 from Canada and 16 from Mexico. Some of these players were traded before they ever played for their teams. Some of these players retired or otherwise never suited up for their originally allocated NWSL teams.
Can you name all 55 players from that original allocation in 12 minutes — without searching or looking up the answers? No cheating! Take a screen grab and share your results with us on Twitter @EqualizerSoccer, on Instagram @equalizer_soccer and on Facebook @EqualizerSoccer.
