Alex Morgan announced on Wednesday that she is pregnant and expecting her first child, with husband Servando Carrasco, in April 2020.
The couple announced the news on their social media platforms on Wednesday. They are expecting a girl.
Morgan is one of the most prolific goal-scorers in U.S. women’s national team history, tallying 107 times in 169 appearances and helping the U.S. win back-to-back World Cups, in 2015 and 2019. Morgan’s 107 goals are tied for the fourth-most along with former FIFA Co-Player of the Century Michelle Akers.
Soccer at the 2020 Summer Olympics begin on July 24, 2020, roughly three months after the child is expected.
