Opening foray of conference play

— While the Big East isn’t known for sending players on to the NWSL in big numbers, there have been plenty of contributors over the years. Paige Monaghan was a standout at Butler before returning home this season to play for Sky Blue. If you’re looking for another non-Georgetown senior to watch, Samantha Dewey has made quite the impression at Xavier of late. Dewey, who won the Big East Midfielder of the Year award at 2018, is off to another scorching start this season. With nine goals, she’s already match her total from last fall, and appears to be on to another successful season.
