The result was a bit of revenge for the final a year ago, won 1-0 by Arsenal.

Barcelona kept pace with the leaders, their return to the win column a 3-0 away win over Real Betis. Their deficit remains six though meaning they still need help from around the league to get to the top even if they beat Atletico Madrid on Match 16. The relegation battle remains dramatic. Sevilla earned three key points in a 2-1 win at Logrono to jump to safety for the time being.
