The 2018 National Women’s Soccer League playoffs are upon us, marking the 12th time the U.S. domestic game will host a postseason. There have been many of great moments — in individual matches, and extended throughout postseason runs — between the Women’s United Soccer Association (2001-03), Women’s Professional Soccer (2009-11) and the NWSL (2013-present).
With 11 postseasons in the books, we decided to look back at some of the best — and craziest — moments from the first 11 postseasons in U.S. domestic women’s soccer.
