For the first time since women’s professional soccer started on these shores in 2001, Jim Gabarra is not coaching at the highest level. The veteran coach was sacked by the Washington Spirit on Tuesday with the squad mired in a 12-match winless run and sitting 8th at 2-15-4.
Dan Lauletta and Claire Watkins decided to fire up their microphones for a short podcast to discuss Gabarra’s firing and his tenure with the Spirit. Dan also took a trip down memory lane to highlight some of his career highlights.
