New Zealand’s Abby Erceg will be available for the Football Ferns group finale against France on Tuesday after the FIFA Disciplinary Committee overturned a straight red card shown to the captain late in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Colombia.

Erceg broke the news herself via Twitter.

New Zealand are assured of advancing to the quarterfinals with a draw against France and also have a path should they lose. Erceg, a vital part of the side’s defensive structure in a match that, even if New Zealand lose, keeping it close could be the difference between moving on and going home.
