The 2015 CONCACAF Under-20 Women’s Championship begins on Thursday in Honduras, with the top three finishers advancing directly to next year’s FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Papua New Guinea.
The U.S. and Canada are favorites as always, but these CONCACAF youth competitions haven’t always been kind to them. With three spots available this time around, however, neither should have trouble qualifying for the World Cup.
Canada will compete in Group A with Honduras, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. The U.S. will compete in Group B with Haiti, Mexico and Panama.
