A big crowd is expected in Houston on Friday to see the Dash host the Reign. The stakes are high for the Dash who are trying to stay in touch with the playoff race.
Seattle Reign FC (10-3-3) at Houston Dash (5-7-5)
8:00 pm EDT, BBVA Compass Stadium
Series: Reign lead, 4-0-0
Points of Interest: The Dash have yet to take a point off the Reign and this would be a good time to do so with their playoff hopes dangling on the thread of a three-match losing streak. And they may have to do it without Morgan Brian who is questionable due to back pain. Brian would be a big loss for the Dash. Teams that turn the ball over in their own half are made to pay by the Reign’s fantastic counterattack. Also missing will be Ella Masar who is on suspension for yellow card accumulation. If the Dash drop points they will not be eliminated but will basically be down to hoping FC Kansas City goes 0-for-the-rest-of-the-season. As for the Reign they are already back in the playoffs and in the most simplistic terms they need two more wins to repeat as Shield winners.
