It was a buys Tuesday night for Alex Morgan, who swapped jerseys with Andrés Iniesta after Barcelona’s victory over the LA Galaxy at the Rose Bowl. Morgan also appeared on the popular late-night talk show, “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
While on the show, Kimmel asked Morgan if the United States had a particularly big rival, and Morgan noted that Canada stands out above the rest. Morgan playfully noted that the Canadians are known for a few crunching tackles.
“They are super physical and some people might say that they are dirty. That’s not me saying that, maybe some people say that,” Morgan said with a smile. The video is above. Kimmel hilariously noted that Canada would probably be happy to be known as dirty in anything.

The U.S. is 46-3-6 all-time against Canada, which doesn’t sound like much of a rivalry, but it absolutely is after the 2012 Olympic semifinal match which Canada can’t stop talking about.
Morgan is recovering from a knee surgery she had performed last week and thus won’t be playing on Wednesday when Portland Thorns FC hosts Seattle Reign FC in a crucial NWSL matchup. That allowed her to be at the Rose Bowl for FC Barcelona-LA Galaxy on Tuesday…which leads to this bit of awesomeness:
