Nadim opened her 2015 National Women’s Soccer League campaign where she left off in her brief time in the league last year: She scored a spectacular goal on Sunday at Sporting Park to put Sky Blue FC ahead of reigning champions FC Kansas City. Just look:

Nadim scored seven goals in six matches at the end of last season, playing on loan with Sky Blue. The club accomplished its No. 1 off-season objective of re-signing the forward, which makes for some high expectations in New Jersey.
If Nadim keeps scoring goals like her opener on Sunday, she and Sky Blue will live up to the hype.
