Report: Rampone still not 100 percent healthy

United States defender Christie Rampone is not yet 100 percent and is not expected to start in Wednesday’s Algarve Cup opener against Norway, according to SI’s Grant Wahl.

Rampone, the team’s captain, missed the United States’ first two matches of the year — a loss to France and a win over England — due to a back injury sustained in January training camp.

Megan Rapinoe is back with the U.S. after missing the France and England matches due to a strained ligament in her right knee.

The U.S. will play Norway, Switzerland and Iceland in group play at the Algarve Cup before playing a placement match on March 11 against a team from another group.
