Lyon routs PSG, on pace for 9th straight French title

Lyon looks set to clinch an ninth consecutive French league title after dismantling PSG on Saturday in a 4-0 victory.

Lara Dickenmann, Elise Bussaglia, Lotta Schelin and Camille Abily all scored for Lyon. The win puts Lyon at 71 points from 18 matches, while PSG has 73 points from 20 matches. Assuming each team wins out — a fairly safe bet in a fairly noncompetitive league — Lyon would win the league. Lyon won both league meetings against PSG this season, but lost to their rivals in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.

Lyon have won Feminine Division 1 each of the last eight seasons. PSG were runners-up the past two seasons.
