No. 1 seeds roll into Sweet 16 of D-I tournament

All four No. 1 seeds advanced to the Sweet 16 of the 2014 NCAA Division I women’s soccer tournament with victories on Friday.

UCLA smacked Harvard 7-0 in the final game of the day, while Florida State rolled past Northeastern 3-0, Texas A&M rolled past Arizona 7-2 and Stanford held on against Arkansas, winning 1-0.

Elsewhere, No. 2 seed Virginia defeated Rutgers 3-0, while fellow No. 2 seed North Carolina edged Colorado, 1-0. UCF upset No. 4 seed Wisconsin, 3-2.
