Meghan Klingenberg scored the goal of a lifetime on Monday against Haiti on a screaming effort that zipped into the back of the net to help the U.S. women on their way to a 6-0 win.
On Tuesday, a still ecstatic Klingenberg — and her teammates — discussed the magical moment.
“As soon as it hit my foot I’m like ‘Oh my God, that’s perfect.’ I couldn’t believe it; it was awesome,” the 26-year-old left back said.
