Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Ecuador advanced the final round of CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying. Two of the four teams will advance directly to the 2015 World Cup, while the third-place finisher will advance to an intercontinental playoff against CONCACAF’s fourth-place finisher.
The winner of the Copa America will qualify for the 2016 Olympics, unless Brazil wins, in which case the second-place finisher will advance to the Olympics. Brazil is already guaranteed a spot in 2016 with the Olympics taking place in Rio de Janeiro.
Colombia was the only team to go through the group stage with a perfect record, picking up 12 points from four matches. Ecuador finished second with 6 points.
Argentina ended Group B play on Saturday with a 2-0 win over defending champion Brazil.
By advancing, all four teams have earned spots in the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto.
