Allie Long scored twice as Portland Thorns FC ended its Arizona preseason training camp with a 5-0 victory over Arizona State University on Sunday in Tucson, Ariz.

Long opened the scoring in the 3rd minute and tallied her second goal in the 19th minute, adding to the brace she scored in Friday’s 10-0 win over the University of Arizona.

Jackie Acevedo found the net for Portland just before halftime by finishing a through-ball from Mana Shim, while Christine Sinclair and Jessica McDonald added second-half goals to complete the victory.

On Friday, McDonald made her case for minutes alongside Sinclair while Alex Morgan continues to recover from a stress reaction in her left ankle. McDonald scored twice on Friday and impressed Thorns coach Paul Riley.

Riley told The Equalizer on Friday that he has another international forward joining the team soon, but would not reveal who. Riley openly entertained the idea of targeting Tyresö’s Veronica Boquete when he took the job late in 2013. Boquete, who can play as an attacking midfielder or forward, was the 2011 WPS MVP under Riley at the Philadelphia Independence.
