Mia Hamm was a unanimous USWNT all-time Best XI choice.

The United States women’s national team all-time Best XI was revealed on Thursday, and it debuted with the controversial selection of Briana Scurry in goal over current U.S. No. 1 Hope Solo.

Fifty-six voters, ranging from media to current and former players and coaches, as well as administrators. Below the best XI, along with how many of the 56 votes each player received. Yes, I am on there. Here is how I voted: Solo; Fawcett, Rampone, Overbeck; Akers, Foudy, Lilly, Lloyd; Wambach, Hamm, Milbrett

(Also, as an FYI, voters were allowed to vote in a 4-4-2, a 4-3-3 or a 3-4-3. And for what it’s worth, the hardest omission for me was Carin Gabarra Jennings, who won the 1991 World Cup Golden Ball. I voted for Tiffeny Milbrett on the overall career and longevity of it. Alex Morgan will be on this list, but her accomplishments were too recent – and in comparison to World Cup winner, secondary – to put her on the current list.)

Here’s how all the votes shook out for each eligible player:

Briana Scurry (31), Hope Solo (24), Mary Harvey (1)
