Bayern Munich and Turbine Potsdam are atop the Frauen-Bundesliga table with 10 pts. apiece after each team picked up wins over the weekend.
Amber Brooks scored a brace and Sarah Hagen added a goal as Bayern defeated BV Cloppenburg, 5-2. Potsdam held on against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, winning 3-2 after jumping out to a 3-0 win.
1 FFC Frankfurt dropped off the pace of the leaders, settling for a draw with Bayer 04 Leverkusen in heartbreaking fashion. Frankfurt had a 2-0 lead after Dzsenifer Marozsán’s 65th minute goal, but Bayer got one back in the 80th minute and Francesca Weber hit the equalizer in the second minute of second half stoppage time.
Elsewhere, last year’s treble winners Wolfsburg routed Duisburg, 4-0, behind Martina Müller’s brace, while USV Jena beat SGS Essen, 2-0, and Freiburg dominated VfL Sindelfingen, winning 5-0.
