NWSL Attendance Watch: Week 16

Despite the Spirit's poor record, fans still turn out. (Photo Copyright Amanda McCormick | www.amandamccormick8.com)

The NWSL saw another average week at the gates for their five games.  Portland drew an expected large crowd for the FOX Soccer broadcast.  Kansas City fans came out once again and have now had three-straight games with over 5,000 fans.

All other matches were pretty close to the team averages for the season.  Portland has two home games next week, which will give the league’s attendance numbers a huge boost.  Chicago and Sky Blue will also be hosting next weekend, both looking for a solid crowd.
