This should be no surprise, and clearly the rest of the media agrees with us. Lisa De Vanna, who was given the official NWSL Player of the Week award on Tuesday, is The Equalizer’s Player of the Week for Week 8, as voted on by the editors of the site.
De Vanna, who has been a workhorse all season for Sky Blue FC, had two goals and an assist in Saturday’s 5-1 dismantling of Boston.
One of De Vanna’s goals, of course, was the first NWSL goal to truly go viral — a ridiculous bicycle kick that is the early candidate for (and likely winner of) goal of the year. Watch it below:
