Portland Thorns FC forward Christine Sinclair has been named The Equalizer’s NWSL Player of the Month, as voted on by editors of the site.
Sinclair leads the league in points (5) with two goals and one assist and was voted our Player of the Week for her Week 2 performance against Seattle Reign FC, in which she assisted Alex Morgan’s game-winning goal.
But much of Sinclair’s great month of April has come away from the ball and away from the stats sheet. She has taken it upon herself to drop deeper into the midfield when the Thorns are in need of possession and her final passes have been spectacular.
