United States women’s national team legend Kristine Lilly released a new e-book on Tuesday in conjunction with Coerver Coaching. The e-book, Girls Soccer: Dream, Believe, Achieve, is meant to raise awareness for girls soccer worldwide.
Lilly first tells the story of her 23-year national team career, which included two World Cup titles and two Olympic gold medals. It then dives into life and soccer coaching tips ans well as Lilly performing Coerver Coaching practices and drills for coaches of girls.
The purpose of the e-book, Lilly told me via email, is to give players and coaches the ability to bring the teaching manual right to the field.
Anson Dorrance, coach and architect of the North Carolina Tar Heels and their 21 NCAA titles, gave the book his endorsement.
“This is unbelievable,” he said in a statement. “The fact that you can have this on any sort of device and you can bring it to a practice, it’s absolutely extraordinary stuff. I think, unquestionably for our generation, this is the future.”
