3rd place: Norway beat Sweden 5-4 on penalty kicks after the team’s drew 2-2 in regulation. Ada Hegerberg scored a stoppage time equalizer for Norway to force penalties.
5th place: Japan beat China 1-0 on a goal from Yuki Ogimi
7th place: Denmark defeated Mexico 3-0
9th place: Iceland beat Hungary 4-1
11th place: Portugal beats Wales 3-1 on penalty kicks after a 1-1 draw through regulation
Meanwhile, in the Cyprus Cup, England defeated Canada 1-0 behind a 70th minute goal from Rachel Yankey. It marks England’s third all-time Cyrpus Cup triumph just four months before Euro 2013. England and Canada will meet again in three weeks.
3rd place: New Zealand beat Switzerland on a pair of late goals
5th place: Scotland defeated the Netherlands 1-0. Kim Little scored the winner.
7th place: Finland topped the Republic of Ireland 1-0
9th place: Italy defeated South Korea 1-0
11th place: South Africa beat Northern Ireland 5-4 on penalty kicks after a 1-1 draw in regulation.
