Mexico and Canada have named their latest training camp rosters ahead of the Algarve Cup and Cyprus Cup, respectively. Mexico women’s national team coach Leo Cuellar has named 19-players to a pre-Algarve Cup training camp which will begin on Sunday in Mexico City. Canada coach John Herdman has called in 25 players to Cyprus to begin camp on Monday.
All 16 Canadian players allocated to the National Women’s Soccer League are in Herdman’s training camp, plus forward Tiffany Cameron, who was signed as a free agent by Seattle Reign FC.
All but three of the 16 players allocated to the NWSL are in Mexico’s training camp. Alina Garciamendez, Teresa Noyola and Pamela Tajonar Alonso are the three exceptions.
Noyola is in the Netherlands playing for ADO Den Haag and Garciamendez was last seen in Germany on trial with FFC Frankfurt.
Tom Sermanni on Thursday named his roster of 23 players headed to the Algarve Cup. Seventeen of those players are amongst the 23 US players who were allocated to NWSL teams.
