The U.S. women defeated Ireland for second time in four days on Saturday, winning 2-0 off goals from Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe.
Morgan scored less than a minute into the game and then assisted on Rapinoe’s 38th minute goal.
The U.S. defeated Ireland 5-0 in Portland, Ore. on Wednesday, but Ireland goalkeeper Emma Byrne came up huge in the second half — denying Abby Wambach, Sydney Leroux and twice stopping Carli Lloyd shots — to keep Ireland in the game.
Next up for the U.S. is the first of three games in a week against China. The first is Dec. 8 at Ford Field in Detroit.
