U.S. Soccer president Sunil Gulati said on Tuesday night’s broadcast of the 2-2 draw between the U.S. women and Germany that he hopes to name the next U.S. coach by the end of October. Gulati said the list is down to seven candidates, which means its probably down to about three, maximum, given that there is only a week left in October.
Gulati also spoke about trying to get some announcements out about a new women’s professional league in approximately the same time frame. Check out the video from NBC below:
