Barring any freakish thunderstorms like the ones witnessed in Philadelphia last weekend, magicJack, the team formerly known as the Washington Freedom, will make its 2011 WPS debut on Saturday. Surrounded by mystery, the team has finally revealed its uniform in a photo on the team’s Facebook page:

Hope Solo will not be in net for magicJack due to a suspension, so Jillian Loyden will take over that role. If you need a refreshing on why Solo won’t be in net, here is the WPS Disciplinary Committee ruling:
“The WPS Disciplinary Committee has reviewed the public statements made by Hope Solo following the match on September 11, 2010 and has suspended Solo for one WPS league game, issued a fine of $2500 and given 8 hours of community service for prejudicial statements and public criticism as covered in Section 13.1.3 of the League Operations Manual. Solo has the right to appeal the decision of a one-game suspension and community service within seven (7) days and within thirty (30) days for the fine.”
