On Tuesday, two brand new kits labeled “2011/12 US Home/Away Women’s Soccer Jersey” appeared on Nike’s online store, seemingly revealing the new kits for the U.S. Women’s National Team ahead of the 2011 Women’s World Cup. U.S. Soccer is yet to publicly confirm whether or not these are the official kits, but it seems as though Nike jumped the gun on the unveil.
UPDATE: As of Thursday evening (March 31), U.S. Soccer has the kits listed in its store, which should end any doubt about the authenticity of the uniforms.
The fit looks tight (almost like a cycling jersey), although there are not yet photographs of the kit on an actual person. Photos after the jump.
Check out the jerseys for yourself here (UPDATE: Nike has removed the jerseys from its Web site as of 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 31) or check out some screen shots below. Share your thoughts on the kits in the comment section.
