We’re still in that chasm between our off-season launching point and April 9, when we truly get our league back. Teams are playing – sometimes each other – but there’s little to talk about beside the odd piece of speculation and the random roster move. We talk about the latter – tweaks that have taken place in Boston and Florida – and discuss magicJack’s friendly with the Breakers, but our big topic of discussion is this year’s rookie class. One year after the excitement of the 2010 draft, this year’s newcomers see a league that offers fewer open spots, more competition for them, and less defined rosters to settle into.
On this edition of the Equalizer Women’s Soccer Podcast, Jeff Kassouf and myself discuss the road ahead for five prominent rookies.
