It looks like, after considerable mystery, the Atlanta Beat finally have a full set of goalkeepers. Allison Lipsher and Allison Whitworth will be joined by Kerri Butler, who would be a rookie out of West Virginia. This comes from a report on Tuesday from fredericksburg.com.
The Equalizer has confirmed that Whitworth and Lipsher will be joining Atlanta, although no official announcement has been made.
Previously, Lipsher played with the Boston Breakers, posting a 0.58 goal against average in 11 games in 2009. She was waived by Boston early in the 2010 season.
Meanwhile, Whitworth finds her way back to Atlanta after the Beat traded her to the now-defunct Chicago Red Stars midway through the 2010 season.
