Futebol Feminino Profissional is reporting that Brazilian forward Cristiane has signed with Santos until the end of the year.
The Brazilian played with WPS’ Chicago Red Stars in 2009 and 2010. In 2010, she played in all 24 games, scoring three goals and adding two assists. The Red Stars suspended operations in December. Signing with Santos until the end of the year ensures Cristiane will not be making a return to WPS in 2011.
“I’m very glad I stayed in Brazilian football, in particular Santos, who has the best infrastructure in the country. And I want to return the club to earn my place in the squad. After all, years of World Cup,” Cristina told FFP.
