Santos FC drew 1-1 with the North Korea Women’s National Team on Saturday in Marta’s final game with Santos. Marta, the five-time reigning FIFA World Player of the Year, scored in the 91st minute to equalize for Santos in her farewell game.
North Korea went ahead in the 29th minute when Kim Young’s shot beat Santos goalkeeper Andreia. The match stayed at 1-0 in favor of North Korea until Marta equalized in stoppage time to depart Santos in style.
In post-game interviews, Marta said that she hopes to soon return to Brazil.
