Becky Edwards has signed with the Western New York Flash. The United States Under-23 midfielder became a free agent after former club and 2010 WPS Champion FC Gold Pride folded in November.
“Becky was integral to the success of the Bay Area this past season in their run to the championship,” Flash Head Coach Aaran Lines said. “She possesses a good understanding of the game and has solid technical abilities. Becky will be an important player for us to help link the game playing in the holding midfield role.”
In 24 appearances with FC Gold Pride in 2010, Edwards tallied one goal and one assist. She officially becomes the 14th player on Western New York’s increasingly impressive roster.
