Sundhage calls in 24 for Italy training camp

Pia Sundhage named her 24-player roster for the two leg World Cup qualifying playoff against Italy Nov. 20 and Nov. 27.  All 20 players that took part in CONCACAF qualifying in Mexico the last three weeks will stay with the team, with the addition of four new players.

Midfielders Leslie Osborne (Boston Breakers), Lindsay Tarpley (Boston Breakers) and Tina DiMartino (Philadelphia Independence) have been added to the roster along with goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris (Washington Freedom).  The team departs Sunday for the first leg of the series in Padova, Italy on Nov. 20 before returning home for the second leg in Bridgeview, Ill. on Nov. 27.  Only 18 players will dress for each game.
