Brazilian Women’s National Team Head Coach Kleiton Lima has named his squad of players to enter training camp ahead of CONMEBOL 2011 Women’s World Cup Qualifying, which will take place sometime in the fall. This training camp will be short, stretching from August 2-August 14. Training will take place in Teresopolis, described as a chilly mountainous town an hour from Rio.
Some familiar names on the list include Leah, Rafaelle and Ana Patricia, all of which just competed in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup that Brazil disappointingly crashed out of in the group stage. Former Sky Blue FC midfielder Francielle is on the list and Renata Costa, Daiane and Erika are all notable Brazilian names.
Brazil is currently ranked No. 3 in the FIFA World Rankings behind the United States and Germany
