The contract is set to expire on Sept. 30, and both sides have decided not to renew. Sydney Leroux extends Angel City contract through 2024

Sydney Leroux is staying with Angel City FC. The forward and club announced a contract extension through the 2024 NWSL season. Leroux has played in 19 matches for Angel City, and has seen a majority of her time sidelined with various injuries since her 2022 signing. "She leaves everything out on the field every time she plays, in a way that is all Syd," Angela Hucles Mangano, general manager, said.

U.S. Soccer announces ‘Strategic Vision’ with five pillars

The U.S. Soccer Federation announced on Sept. 13 a 'Strategic Vision' with five pillars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup — to be hosted in the U.S., Canada and Mexico — and upcoming Olympics. The pillars are: Grow the Game; Create a World-Class Organization; Grow the Soccer Economy to Fuel Reinvestment; Develop Winning Teams; and Foster the Best Playing Environments.
